LEER Group Announced New Commercial Aluminum Cap Facility
Apr 5 2024
LEER Group held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, April 5, for its new commercial aluminum cap manufacturing facility at its Midwest location.
LEER Group has completed its first targeted reinvestment, focused on increasing the manufacturing capacity of Commercial Aluminum Truck Caps. A ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the start of this dedicated facility was held on April 5.
“The facility will provide increased production capacity needed to accommodate significant growth, specifically in the Commercial and Fleet segments of our business. This facility opening couldn’t have come at a more opportune time - when lead times are extreme, it gives us the capacity to reduce delivery times to better meet the needs of our customers in today’s important Commercial segment,” according to Curt Cline, Vice President of Operations at JBPCO.
“LEER Group’s Engineering and Advanced manufacturing teams have designed and outfitted this facility with over $1.5M of the latest equipment and technology that allows us to manufacture the best quality Commercial Aluminum Caps in the industry,” he added.
The LEER Group has been a business unit of J.B. Poindexter & Co. since 1987. For over 36 years, J.B. Poindexter & Co. has invested heavily in its people, processes and facilities to make sure that LEER remains the #1 manufacturer of fiberglass and aluminum truck caps and tonneau covers in North America. Expect to see more updates focused on enhancing LEER Group’s capacity and products for today and future Commercial and Fleet market segments.
