- Top cover
- Wiring harness
- Clamp pack and hardware
- Clamp extensions
- Drain tubes
- Foam seals
- Depending on your truck each truck make will have slightly different instructions.
- Clean surfaces thoroughly before applying adhesive-backed components to ensure proper bonding.
- Route the harness through the driver-side stake pocket.
- Run it along the frame toward the battery.
- Attach the fuse holder to the positive (red) wire.
- Leave slack inside the bed for electronics connection.
- Do not connect to the battery yet
- Secure the wiring with provided zip ties once routing is complete.
- Place the canister at the front of the truck bed, centered side-to-side.
- You may need to temporarily elevate it (using the shipping box or buckets) to allow rail installation clearance
- Proper centering ensures smooth rail alignment in the next step.
- Identify left and right rails.
- Hook each rail into the canister rail guide.
- Thread the lead rib into the rail channel.
- Slide rails forward and secure them using provided screws, flat washers, and lock washers
- Pull rails back to ensure proper tailgate cap seal engagement.
- Confirm approximately 1/4" spacing between bottom cap and tailgate for proper sealing
- Apply foam across the front sill.
- Secure the top cover using the provided screws.
- Proper foam placement is critical for water resistance.
- Tailgate end and cab end placements differ slightly depending on truck make and model.
- Install clamps (two per rail) and tighten by hand.
- Check spacing between rails using the BR gauge and confirm consistent measurements from front to rear
- Kickstands stabilize the rails at the tailgate end.
- Attach to clamp grip.
- Adjust until rails are level.
- Verify proper rail spacing after leveling
- Tailgate Drain Tubes
- Attach fittings to tailgate caps and route tubes through existing bed holes. Trim as necessary
- Canister Drain Tubes
- Insert fittings into pre-drilled holes underneath the canister. Route downward through factory access ports or drilled holes (if required)
- Use the supplied UV protectant on:
- Underside of sweep seals
- Top of wear strip on rails
- Extend the cover and ensure seals angle outward toward the blanket, not inward
- Avoid alcohol, petroleum, or silicone-based cleaners.
- The electronics module is pre-mounted inside the canister.
- Connect wiring harness to the 2-wire plug.
- Attach red (positive) and black (negative) wires to the battery.
- Test operation using the included key fobs
